Local Hotels, Restaurants Receive High Ratings

French restaurant Le Vallauris has done it again.

The Willow Historic Palm Springs Inn has done it again, too.

Both businesses have earned AAA’s Four Diamond Award for another year.

“We’re very proud of that, too,” said Tony Bruggemans, of Le Vallauris. “It’s not something we take lightly. We work hard every year.”

The restaurant has been a Four Diamond winner for 18 consecutive years. The Willow Inn, 14 years.

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Cabazon Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Indian Wells Miramonte Resort and Spa, Indian Wells Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa, Indian Wells JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Palm Desert Agua Caliente Resort Spa, Rancho Mirage The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa, Rancho Mirage

The other top-rated restaurants include:

Wally’s Desert Turtle, Rancho Mirage Europa Restaurant at the Villa Royale Inn, Palm Springs.

All of the businesses are repeat winners.

These businesses were rated by AAA’s own specially-trained inspectors. The inspectors visit the establishments at least once a year unannounced.

“And I think this is the right system,” said Bruggemans. “It has to be that way. Otherwise, it can be fabricated.”

The Convention and Visitors Authority says these ratings are an excellent reference guide for budget conscious travelers.

“They’re [AAA] objective,” said David Renker, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s very helpful for consumers to know what kind of product they’re going to get.”
