Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ability to work proficiently and safely at heights. Duties require he/she to use and work safely with stepladders, extension ladders as well as pole climbing with gaffs when required. * As a representative of NPG, clean and professional attire is required. * Ability to use Signal Level Meters and VOM?s to measure and record signal quality and level. * Ability to locate and correct signal egress/ingress in the coaxial plant. * Serve on call duty and respond to service outages. * Ability to use Nocturnal to verify signal levels and isolate problem areas. * Perform service installations, service disconnects, audits, installation of digital services: HD, VOD, DVR?s, etc. and drop burials when required. * Assures vehicle is maintained in good working condition, clean, and well stocked. * Basic understanding of system maps. * Immediately report any accidents, losses, injuries, or personal property damage. * Performs minor plant repair, construction and maintenance when required. * Ability to use Nocturnal to verify signal levels and correct upstream/downstream signal problems. * Ability to work in adverse weather conditions when required. * Timely completion and submission of all paper work and reporting. * Work with Broadband Technician III to learn new duties as required. * Meet minimum performance, production, and quality standards. * Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Able to safely lift 70 ? 80 lbs * Willingness and ability to work flexible hours as required * Desire to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude while contributing to growth of the organization. * Valid driver?s license and safe driving record * Work in all weather conditions * Confidentiality: All customer and employee information must be kept confidential * Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Check * Operate hand and power tools in a safe and precise manner
