Man Dead After Overnight Shooting
Police in Indio now have a murder suspect, after finding a man dead in an apartment late Friday night.
Police got a call around 11:30 about a person yelling for help at the Cienega apartments on Avenue 50. When officers arrived, they found the victim inside one of the units with a single gunshot wound in the back.
The victim’s name has not been released.
After following some leads, police arrested Jessie Sanchez. He has been booked at the jail in Indio facing murder charges.
So far, no word on a motive for the shooting.
