Two Earthquakes Hit Southern California

A magnitude 3.0 earthquake shook the ground outside Julian on Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was centered 8 miiles southeast of the town, which is located in far east San Diego County. It hit at 12:05 p.m.

Soon afterward, a 3.4 earthquake hit near Landers, about 24 miles northwest of Yucca Valley.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
