Palm Springs Burglar Rolls Around Pizza Parlor To Avoid Cameras

Police today released surveillance footage in hopes of tracking down a masked burglar who netted more than $1,500 in a break-in at a Shakey’s Pizza restaurant in Palm Springs.

The suspect broke into the pizzeria in the 900 block of Tahquitz Canyon Road just after 4 a.m. Sunday, Palm Springs police officer Rhonda Long said. The burglar then cut open an ATM machine and also stole cash from the business office, leaving before police arrived at the scene.

The suspect was wearing all dark clothing, a black mask and black shoes at the time of the burglary, Long said. Anyone with information on the burglar was asked to call (760) 341-7867.
