Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $244 Million

Get in line to get your tickets, if you want your chance to win $244 million in Tuesday night’s drawing.

A single winning ticket with the cash option would be worth about $155 million.

No tickets have matched the six winning numbers since Jan. 4, when the jackpot reached $355 million, the fourth-largest lottery prize in U.S. history. Two winning tickets in that drawing were sold in Idaho and Washington.

Mega Millions tickets cost $1 per play. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 46 or can have numbers randomly selected by computer.

For an extra $1 per play, players can add the Megaplier to multiply all prizes other than the jackpot and second-tier prizes.

Sales for Tuesday night’s drawing stop at 7:45 p.m.
