Palm Springs Police Make Arrest In Hotel Burglary

Palm Springs police arrested a Desert Hot Springs man on charges he broke into a hotel and stole several items.

The burglary happened on March 17 at around 6 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel on the 400 block of Tahquitz Canyon.

Police were called after a guest discovered a laptop computer and iPad were stolen from his room.

Detectives used surveillance video and positively identified the suspect as Roger Sakvelia Cedeno, Jr., 26, of Desert Hot Springs. He was taken into custody, and faced charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and credit card theft.

Palm Springs police said they were investigating the possibility Cedeno may be involved in other crimes. If you have any information, call Palm Springs police.
