Father Joe Carroll Retires As Martha’s Kitchen President
Father Joe Carroll announced on Wednesday he will retire from his position as CEO of Father Joe’s Villages and partner agencies (St. Vincent de Paul Village, Martha’s Village and Kitchen, Toussaint Academy).
“I am most proud of the lives the Villages have impacted,” said Carroll. “In the last 30 years we have grown from one building and limited services to six Villages, comprehensive medical, dental and psychiatric services, serving over 15,000 adults and children annually.”
The need for the services of Father Joe’s Villages has increased dramatically over the years, he said. With the downturn of the economy, donations have decreased. He said he hopes people recognize their neighbors need help.
Martha’s Village & Kitchen in Indio, a partner of Father Joe’s Villages, has been helping thousands of people for over 21 years. It is the largest provider of comprehensive homeless services in Riverside County.
A search for a new CEO has begun. In the meantime, Father Joe’s Villages’ Board Chair Steve Francis and St. Vincent de Paul Board Chair Vince Kasperick will be acting as interim co-CEOs.
