Police Activities League Director Accused Of Sex With A Minor

A Palm Springs police employee who works with children as part of her job was accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with a teenager.

Cathedral City Police say they were investigating claims that Alanna Reichle, 33, was having sexual relations with a 17-year-old boy over the past year.

Investigators arrested her at her home on Monday night, and booked her in the Indio jail on multiple charges of statutory rape with a minor.

Reichle is the Director of the Western Coachella Valley Police Activities League, which provides activities for at-risk youth in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Thousand Palms, Rancho Mirage and Sky Valley. The program is managed by the Palm Springs Police Department.

News Channel 3 spoke with Reichle in 2004 about her work to keep kids off of drugs.

“We want to teach them how to make good choices, and that in turn will help them not follow the line of using drugs.” she said.

Palm Springs police say Reichle is on administrative leave until Cathedral City police completes their investigation.

She’s been released on bail as the investigation continues.

If you have any information call Cathedral City Police.

Palm Springs police say anyone who was involved with PAL activities and has questions or would like more information about support services, can call 760-323-8143.
