Police Search For Child Taken During Supervised Visit

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were searching for a missing 3-year-old boy on Tuesday after his biological father and mother abducted him during a supervised visit on Monday.

Moreno Valley police responded to the call of a child abduction near Cottonwood Ave. and Frederick St.

The social workers said William Burns had been there for a supervised visit with Donnelly Burns, 3, his son..

When the visit was over, Burns grabbed the child and took off in a newer silver or white, two-door hatchback vehicle. There was an unidentified woman in the passenger seat.

Burns’ last known address was in the city of Hemet.

A similar incident happened with Burns and the child in March. The child at that time was located in Phoenix, Ariz., on May 2. The child was unharmed during that incident.

The victim’s mother, Sharon Diane Joyce, was also at the visit, but left the visit five minutes prior to the abduction.

The Moreno Valley Police Department is looking for Joyce for questioning in this abduction.

Donnelly Burns is described as a white male juvenile, 3 years old. Donnelly was last seen wearing jean shorts, black shirt and camouflage shoes.

William Burns is a white male adult 5’08” tall, 170 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes and is 46 years old. William was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.

Sharon Joyce is a white female adult 5’07” tall, 130 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes and is 43 years old.
