San Diego Family Found Dead In Swimming Pool

Three adults and a child were found dead early Tuesday in a backyard pool and a bathtub of a San Diego home, and a fire official says all four appeared to have drowned.

Homicide detectives have been called to the scene.

Police officer Frank Cali says the four were discovered shortly after 6:30 a.m. at a house in the Bay Terraces neighborhood.

San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesman Maurice Luque (Loo-KAY’) says firefighters found the bodies of a man, a woman and a girl in a backyard pool and another woman in a bathtub. He says all four appeared to be drowning victims and were pronounced dead at the scene in the Parkcreek Court cul-de-sac.

Bay Terraces is a low- to middle-income, ethnically diverse neighborhood in San Diego’s southeastern area.

The victims’ names and ages weren’t immediately released.
