Man In Business Suit ‘Targets’ Rx Drugs During Robbery

A man who was wearing a business suit when he demanded Oxycontin from a Target pharmacist in Cathedral City remains at large.

The suspect acted as if he was carrying a knife when he robbed the Target pharmacy at 67750 E. Palm Canyon Drive just before 7 p.m. Monday Cathedral City police Sgt. Carl Wolford said.

“The suspect simulated a possible knife as a weapon and demanded a specific brand of prescription medication, which was given to the suspect,” Wolford said.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his mid-40s, about 5-foot-5 and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white pinstripe suit, light blue undershirt and sunglasses and had short, black spiky hair, according to police.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts should call Cathedral City police, (760) 770-0302.
