Bank Robbed In Cathedral City

Cathedral City police were searching for a man who robbed the Chase Bank inside the Stater Bros. grocery store on Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery happened around 2:15 p.m. at the store located at the intersection of Landau and Vista Chino.

Police told KESQ a man walked up to the counter and gave the teller a note demanding money. He then walked away with the cash.

The suspect was described as a light skinned black male adult in his late 20s-to-early 30s. He was around 5’9″ and weighed about 210-to-220 pounds with an unshaven goatee mustache and light brown eyes.

He was also wearing a multi-colored baseball cap with white “L” “A” letters on the front, a multicolor plaid-type long sleeve shirt, and dark baggy pants.

Cathedral City Police Detectives are currently at the bank investigating this crime. If anyone has any information or witnessed this incident, please call the Cathedral City Police Department at 770-0303.
