Ohio Man Arrives To Face Palm Springs Molestation Charges

A man accused of several counts of child molestation in Palm Springs waited in a riverside county jail today for his trial to begin.

According to court records, Jeffrey Roderick was extradited from Ohio on Friday and is now at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.

The 42-year-old was in an Ohio jail facing charges of possessing child pornography, which ultimately led to the Palm Springs investigation.

That investigation revealed Roderick had molested a child in Palm Springs in 2004 and recorded the act on a computer disk. That disk was found by residents of a home that Roderick once lived in.

He has been charged with 17 counts of child molestation.

Roderick’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
