Man Stabbed During Bachelor Party Trip

Palm Springs police have a man in custody after he reportedly stabbed his friend on Friday morning while they were visiting for a bachelor party.

Four friends had been staying at a resort on the 1100 block of N. Palm Canyon Drive, according to police spokeswoman Rhonda Long.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., two of them started fighting ending with one of them getting stabbed three times.

Police recovered the knife, while both the suspect and the victim were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center.

The suspect, Russell Elliott, 28, of Santa Ana, was released and arrested. He’s facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was treated and released from the hospital.
