Dodgers’ Kemp Earns All-Star Game Starting Spot

Major League Baseball released the American League and National League rosters for the 2011 All-Star Game in Phoenix.

Headlining the handful of players from southland team is Los Angeles Dodgers’ outfielder, Matt Kemp The Dodgers’ star saw a huge amount of last minute votes to thrust him into the starting lineup for the National League. Kemp has had a huge first half of the season for the blue. He’s batting .322 with 22 homeruns.

Joining Kemp is Dodgers’ ace Clayton Kershaw. He made the roster as one of the many pitchers for the annual game.

Andre Ethier still has a shot at making the cut. He’s part of the “Final Ballot,” a list of five players vying for a position, only one will make it.

The Angels will send ace Jered Weaver and Howie Kendrick to the American League team.
