Actor Jeremy London Pleads Not Guilty To Misdemeanor Battery Charge
Actor Jeremy London pleaded not guilty to spousal battery Thursday for allegedly roughing up his estranged wife during an argument about their 5-year-old son.
London was charged Monday with a misdemeanor count of battery of a spouse or cohabitant.
The charges stem from an incident in the Mountain Gate complex of Palm Springs in November.
A woman who called 911 from a home there said she and London were arguing over custody of their son when London hurt her.
The judge also issued a restraining order, requiring him to have no contact with the woman, according to court records.
He is due back in court March 15 for a pretrial hearing.
London could face up to a year behind bars or probation if he’s convicted of the misdemeanor battery charge.
This isn’t London’s first run-in with trouble in Palm Springs.
Brandon Adams pleaded guilty earlier this year to kidnapping London last June.
London claimed Adams also forced him to buy illicit drugs and alcohol during the incident.
Even London’s family doubted his claims.
