Lucky Fans Had One Last Shot At Coachella Tickets
This year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is sold out.
Some valley residents had one last chance to get passes Saturday morning.
Concert promoter, Golden Voice, set aside a thousand general admission passes specifically for east valley residents.
Fans started lining up around 6 p.m. Friday night at the Fair grounds in Indio.
The tickets went on sale at 10 a.m..
“Every year there’s always been a mad scramble to get tickets, and we actually have an opportunity this year,” Todd Valentino, who was first in line, said.
Valentino waited in line 16 hours. “I got a box of mojo bars. I set up a hammock out there. Played my Nintendo DS. Just hung out, met a lot of cool people,” he said.
Tickets went fast, and some fans were turned away. The festival is expanding to two weekends – April 13 and April 20.
The line-up — announced earlier this month — includes Radiohead, Snoop Dogg, Doctor Dre and the Black Keys.
