Amick Named General Manager Of New Palm Springs Art Museum

The Palm Springs Art Museum recently named Arlene Amick as the general manager for their new location in Palm Desert.

According to a news release, Amick will be responsible for the daily operations of the new museum, which is slated to open to the public in March 2012.

?It?s an exciting time to be a part of the Palm Springs Art Museum and Palm Desert?s expanding art community,? said Amick. ?The Palm Desert facility is going to be a world-class showcase with innovative exhibitions, an outdoor sculpture garden and educational opportunities. It?s a privilege to be named its general manager.?

Prior to her role as general manager, Amick was the assistant gallery director and event coordinator for Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, where she expanded her knowledge of fine art. She is involved in the community as a member of Les Dames d?Escoffier and was honored in 2010 as an area influencer in Palm Springs Life?s annual ?40 Under 40? issue.
