Cathedral City Man Arrested For String Of Local Burglaries

On Tuesday, members from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit and officers from the Palm Desert Station Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 31500 block of Avenida Maravilla in Cathedral City.

During their search they found a number of items reported stolen, including a television stolen from Indian Wells in 2010, and a laptop taken from a Huntington Beach home. Deputies also seized more than $6000 in cash, believed to be the proceeds from selling stolen property.

Deputies arrested 29 year-old Gerardo Cervantes of Cathedral City and two 17 year-old juveniles. All three are facing charges for possession of stolen
