The 30th annual La Quinta Arts Festival will conclude today at the La Quinta Civic Center, with glass sculptor Randy Strong as the featured artist.

Strong is a leader in the American Studio Art Glass Movement, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The festival has 230 contemporary artists from 30 states and Canada exhibiting their work in 11 categories. There will also be live entertainment, food from local restaurants, beer and wine.

Proceeds from the La Quinta Arts Festival have supported college scholarship awards totaling $1 million to visual art students.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and children younger than 12 are free. Information and tickets are available by calling (760) 564-1244; also online at lqaf.com.
