Drier, Cooler Start to the Week Before Santa Ana Winds Develop

After a WET WEEKEND, showers have mostly moved out of the Coachella Valley, leaving us with cool temperatures and gradually clearing skies as low pressure exits Southern California.

Highs will only reach the mid-70s today, with a noticeably chilly night ahead as clouds continue to thin out. We're looking at overnight lows in the 50s!

More sunshine returns tomorrow, but temperatures still remain well below our seasonal 93 degrees before warming into the 80s later this week.

Developing Santa Ana winds could bring gusty conditions near our mountain slopes and passes, as early as Thursday--but especially Friday into Saturday, increasing fire weather concerns.

Dry weather continues into the weekend, with winds easing and temperatures gradually warming back into the 90s next week.
