Suspect On The Loose From Desert Hot Springs Shooting
A suspect remains on the run and at least four people are hospitalized after an overnight shooting, according to Desert Hot Springs police.
It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the 13-300 block of Miracle Hill Road in Desert Hot Springs, according to public information officer Ken Peary.
The shooting victims were all taken to local hospitals with non life-threatening injuries, said Officer Peary, but their conditions were not immediately known.
Officers were near the scene and heard the shots when they were fired, according to investigators.
When they got to the location, police found a large group of people dispersing from a party in the area. ?There were so many people that they needed further assistance,? said Officer Peary.
Investigators do not have a suspect description or a motive for the shooting at this time, but Peary said it could be gang-related.
“Not 100 percent, but I’m kind of leaning in that direction,” said Peary.
