Timothy Bradley to greet fans before title fight
Local boxer Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr. will greet fans today at Spotlight 29 Casino before he leaves for his June 9 welterweight title fight against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, a casino spokeswoman said.
Bradley’s meet-and-greet will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the casino lounge and will be free and open to the public.
“Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take a picture with the undefeated former two-time WBC light welterweight champion,” casino spokeswoman Lisa Herman said, adding that an HBO crew would accompany Bradley.
The casino is holding a viewing party for the fight, which is for the World Boxing Organization welterweight title. The fight will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at 6 p.m. on June 9.
The 28-year-old Bradley — a Cathedral City native who lives in Palm Springs — is 28-0, according to boxing website BoxRec.com.
