Man dies in fireworks explosion at baseball game

A 20-year-old San Diego man injured Friday in an accidental fireworks explosion that also hurt a fire inspector died Sunday, coroner’s officials said in a written statement.

William Calabrese died from his injuries at 8:10 a.m. at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, according to the statement.

Calabrese and a Riverside County Fire Department inspector were injured after a cache of fireworks set to be shot off Friday at the Lake Elsinore Storm baseball game exploded at once.
