Camp Pendleton employees face theft charges after stealing medical equipment for soldiers
Three civilian employees at the Camp Pendleton Marine base in Southern California have been charged with stealing more than $3 million worth of medical equipment that was supposed to be shipped to combat forces.
The three were arraigned last week on charges that include conspiracy and theft of government property. They face up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
The men worked in warehouses containing the medical equipment. Prosecutors contend they stole supplies and sold them to medical equipment resellers.
