Two men rob Pizza Hut employee in Palm Springs

Two men robbed a Pizza Hut employee outside the business at gunpoint Monday, a Palm Springs police spokesman said.

The robbery was reported around 9:40 a.m. at the Pizza Hut at 1180 S. Palm Canyon Drive. The employee walked out the back door and was approached by two men, one of whom brandished a handgun and ordered the victim to the ground, Palm Springs police Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said.

The suspects, who took unspecified property from the victim and drove off, were described as Hispanic men about 18 to 20 years old, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black pants and black sunglasses.
