World record broken in Palm Springs

China’s Xiaonan Zhang has broken the Women’s World Record for Modern Pentathlon Fencing at the USA Pentathlon World Cup in Palm Springs Saturday.

This is the 20 year old’s first appearance on the world stage and she finished the event with a massive 30 victories and only 5 defeats – a new World Record.

Zhang is leading the World Cup #1 Women’s Final.
