Coast Guard looks for 4 in waters south of San Francisco

The Coast Guard is searching the waters south of San Francisco for four people who went missing after they reported their sailboat was sinking.
Lt. Heather Lampert said the group, which included two children under 8, was about 65 miles off Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay when they called for help Sunday afternoon.
The group said their 29-foot sailboat was taking on water and that they were abandoning ship. She said the Coast Guard then lost radio contact with the group, who may have transferred onto a makeshift life raft.
Lampert said Coast Guard crews have conducted several searches using aircraft, a patrol boat, lifeboat and cutter, but have not yet found any signs of the group.
