House fire in Perris kills one person

Someone was killed this morning in a house fire in Perris, authorities said.

The fire broke out at 3:18 a.m. in a single-family house in the 2500 block of Jimmy Taylor Drive, said Jody Hagemann. The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene, she said.

The age and gender of the victim was not immediately reported.

A total of 21 firefighters responded to the blaze, Hagemann said.
