Three Segways to be donated to Palm Spring Police Department

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians isdonating three Segways to the Palm Springs Police Department, a tribalspokeswoman said.

Police Chief Al Franz will accept delivery of the Segways at 1 p.m.tomorrow at the Agua Caliente Tribal Administration Building in Palm Springs.The two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transport vehicles are being donatedto “aid in strengthening public safety,” spokeswoman Megan Range said.

Agua Caliente Chairman Jeff Grubbe is expected to attend, Range said.
