Hesperia man arrested for freeway shooting east of Coachella Valley

A Hesperia man was arrested for allegedly shooting at a person’s vehicle today on Interstate 10 near Desert Center.

Isaac Lorenzo Burley, 24, allegedly fired several rounds from a handgun a person’s vehicle and fled west on Interstate 10, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Burley was arrested a short time later and the gun was recovered, according to the sheriff’s department, which didn’t give a motive for the
shooting.

Burley was booked at the county jail in Indio, where he was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The shooting was reported at 6:50 a.m. on Interstate 10, west of Rice Road.
