According to San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department just around noon on Thursday police spotted a sliver Chevy Impala wanted in connection with a murder in Yucca Valley. When they attempted to pull the vehicle over, a chase ensued. The chase then moved to Interstate Ten through the Banning Pass ending in San Bernardino when the two suspects exited on Waterman Avenue just before 12:30 p.m.
The shooting in Yucca Valley apparently happened right outside the Five Star Gym at the Town Center Mall at around 11:40 a.m. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department confirm that it all began as a failed carjacking in the gym parking lot.
Witnesses at the scene say that there was some sort of altercation between the suspects and the murder victim. The suspects were demanding that he get out of his car, the man did not comply and that is when the shooting took place.
