Riverside man dies after crashing into parked car

A 40-year-old Riverside man crashed his car into a parked pickup truck in Riverside Tuesday and died, authorities said.

Frank Juarez Jr. died in the wreck at Mitchell and Campbell avenuesshortly after it was reported at 12:10 a.m., Riverside police said.

Juarez was driving a 1996 Honda Civic north on Mitchell “at a high rateof speed,” police said.

“The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided with alegally parked and unoccupied 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup.”

Juarez was alone in the car, police said.
