DUI wreck sends two people to hospital, driver arrested

A Palm Desert woman is facing DUI charges this morning after a crash Sunday night.

The wreck happened at 10:42 p.m. on the 100 block of Courtside Drive in Palm Desert. Police say the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am was traveling west on Courtside Drive and failed to turn as Courtside Drive continued, hitting a wall.

Police say the driver, 25-year-old Kelsey Blackshaw, was under the influence of alcohol. Blackshaw was transported to a local hospital and later arrested.

A passenger in the vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
