Tickets for Timothy Bradley fight on sale today

Tickets to Coachella Valley resident TimothyBradley’s defense of his World Boxing Organization welterweight championshipagainst Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas will go sale today at noon.

The 12-round fight is scheduled for Oct. 12 at the Thomas & Mack Centerand will be shown live on HBO.

Bradley, a Cathedral City High School alumnus, is 30-0 with one nocontest and has 12 knockouts. He won the title June 9, 2012, by defeating MannyPacquiao on a split decision, Pacquiao’s first loss since 2005. Bradleydefeated Ruslan Provodnikov on a unanimous decision March 16 in his first titledefense.

Marquez, who is from Mexico City, is 55-6-1 with 40 knockouts. He isseeking to become the first Mexican to win world titles in five weightdivisions.
