Coachella man facing DUI charges after causing wreck
A Coachella man is facing DUI charges after causing a wreck Thursday evening.
Police responded to a two vehicle collision at about 7 p.m. along Avenue 48 and Calhoun Street in Coachella.
Authorities say 20 year-old Ismael Molina was talking on his cellphone and failed to stop at a red light, hitting a Dodge Ram truck, trevelling north on Calhoun Street.
Police later determined Molina was driving under the influence. He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Molina was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
No injuries reported.
