Family of three rescued while hiking in Palm Springs

A family of three was rescued in Palm Springs this afternoon after a 55-year-old woman become dehydrated while hiking behind the Palm Springs Art Museum.

The woman, her husband, and also their son, were rescued by helicopter and transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for further evaluation, according to a Palm Springs Police Officer on the scene.

Air rescue, along with the Palm Springs Mounted Police Search and Rescue team, were called in to assist in the rescue just before 11 a.m. this morning.
