I-10 crash backs up traffic
Traffic is backing up on Interstate 10 after four cars were involved in a crash. The accident was reported just before 2 p.m.
According to CHP, the four-car pileup happened in the westbound lanes of I-10, just east of Washington Street.
Cal Fire had to use the jaws of life to get two of the passengers out of their vehicle after the crash.
Three passengers were taken to the hospital. Two of them have moderate injuries, according to officials with Cal Fire.
Traffic is backed up in the area while CHP and firefighters investigate the crash. You should avoid the area if possible.
