Victim identified in Twentynine Palms homicide

A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 26 year old man in Twentynine Palms.

Steven Kohus, 26, was shot to death around 9:20 p.m. Sunday in a residence located in the 7300 block of Saladin Avenue, according to police.

When deputies arrived, they found Kohus suffering from a gunshot wound. He died before emergency crews could take him to the hospital.

Deputies also found 22-year-old Brock Myers at the home. He was arrested on murder charges. Police booked him into the Morongo Basin Jail.
