Man recovering after being shot in head

An Indio man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the head Tuesday morning and police are still gathering information as they search for suspects, according to Ben Guitron with the Indio Police Department.

The shooting happened on the 82-400 block of Mountain View Avenue around 10:50 a.m.

Police said the victim is Hispanic but they haven’t released his name yet.

Guitron said police have received conflicting information about the suspects and are continuing to investigate. Anyone who witnessed the shooting or may have information about the crime is asked to call the Indio Police Department at (760) 391-4057.
