Bicyclist identified after deadly crash in Coachella
The Coachella Police Department is investigating after a bicyclist was killed in a crash behind Love’s Truck Stop on Sunday night.
CAL FIRE responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. on Vista Del Norte, just west of Dillon Road.
Police said a man was riding his bicycle eastbound on the south shoulder of Vista Del Norte and made a left turn in front of a vehicle driving behind him. The bicyclist was killed in the crash.
The man was identified as Larry Dale Taylor, 48, of Atwater California, according to police.
They said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
