No threat after suspicious person seen at Marine Combat Center

A suspicious person was seen at the Marine Combat Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms Thursday morning, forcing employees to shelter in place.

An investigation was launched and increased security was in place after the Provost Marshall’s Office received a call reporting a suspicious person was aboard the base.

After the investigation, it was determined that there was no threat to the personnel aboard the Combat Center. No arrests have been made and the Combat Center remains open and operational.
