6 men arrested after Border Patrol finds 267 lbs. of pot

Six men have been arrested and 267 lbs. of pot has been seized in the mountains near In-Ko-Pah County Park after Border Patrol agents discovered foot prints leading to several large bundles of marijuana.

Agents from the El Centro station said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The six men were found about 300 yards east of where the bundles of marijuana were located. A K9 led the agents to the men who were trying to hide from authorities.

All of the suspects were in the U.S. illegally. Agents believe the men were smuggling the marijuana prior to ditching the bundles.

The marijuana is in Border Patrol’s custody and will be turned over to the D.E.A.
