Motorcyclist hit by car on Hwy. 62

A motorcyclist was hit by a car on Highway 62 around 1 p.m. Friday.

According to CHP, the man was riding northbound just past Dillon Road when he pulled over due to windy conditions. When he pulled back onto the road, he was hit by a woman driving a sedan.

The man was knocked off his motorcycle and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Drivers dealt with some delays as officers diverted traffic into the #1 lane while they cleaned up the scene. The accident is under investigation.

Nobody else was hurt in the crash.
