2,600 pot plants seized in San Bernardino

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department says authorities raided two homes across the street from each other on Friday in San Bernardino and found about 2,600 marijuana plants. Seven people were arrested.

Authorities were tipped off by city firefighters who saw pot growing in a backyard.

The plants, some of them 4 feet tall and most of them budding, were in greenhouses that used stolen electricity to run grow lights.

About 20 pounds of processed marijuana and a shotgun also were seized.
