Body discovered in Whitewater, deputies investigating
The body of a Hispanic man was found near an I-10 underpass in Whitewater on Tuesday. Passersby made the discovery around 9:30 a.m.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the man’s body was found in the wash near Haugen-Lehmann Way and Tamarack Road. Deputies said the man had trauma to his head.
The wash sits about 23-feet below the interstate.
Authorities don’t suspect foul play at this time but the investigation is ongoing. The man’s name won’t be released until authorities notify his family.
