Two die in custody of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept.

Two people have died in the custody of Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies.

Media reports said a woman being held at the sheriff’s station in Valencia died at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, but other details haven’t been released.

In Lancaster, a man died after he was handcuffed and placed in the back of a sheriff’s patrol car.

Deputies took the man into custody around 4 a.m. Friday after reports that he was yelling at people in a house and acting bizarrely.

Deputy Peter Gomez said deputies suspected the man was on drugs. Gomez said the man tried to kick out the patrol car windows and then went unconscious.

CPR was performed but he died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.
