‘For Sale’ sign posted on land owned by Saxony Group

A ‘For Sale’ sign has gone up on the land the Saxony Group previously said was designated for a new fashion mall. The listing agent is The Hoffman Company, not Saxony.

News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 have been working to confirm if Saxony is indeed selling the land.

The 10.7 acre parcel on Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage sits below the Ritz Carlton.

About two months ago, our stations interviewed a member of the Saxony Group who said the real estate company was planning to build a fashion mall on the lot.

We were told the mall was scheduled to open at the end of 2015.

We called Saxony’s owner as well as the real estate company listing the land but neither immediately returned our calls Monday.
