Man arrested after fight escalates to stabbing in 29 Palms

Two people were hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight in Twentynine Palms early Wednesday morning, according to a release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said 25-year-old Stephen Bailor of Twentynine Palms was arrested for allegedly stabbing 27-year-old Nikole Schroeder and William Walter, 26, after an argument between the trio turned into a physical altercation.

The incident happened at about 12:40 a.m. on Adobe Road and Cactus Drive.

According to the sheriff’s release, Bailor pulled out a folding pocket knife and cut Schroeder in the face and stabbed Walter in the leg several times. Both victims sustained non life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Both victims also live in Twentynine Palms.

Bailor was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on $50,000 bail.
